What we do at Alzheimer's Services

Alzheimer's Services of the Capital Area provides information and support to 10 parishes in the Greater Baton Rouge area. This includes Caregiver Network meetings, telephone HelpLine,
Charlie's Place (Respite Center), Community Resource Directory, newsletter, education and reference materials, Safe Return program, Speakers Bureau, annual education conference for healthcare providers, and a variety of educational programs on topics of interest to family caregivers.

All of our core programs are free to the public and are funded by grants and local contributions from individuals and businesses. We do not receive any federal or United Way funding. Supporters join us every year for a A Walk/Run to Remember and the Memories in the Making Luncheon. In addition, we have a Memorial Giving Program and an Annual Fund Drive.
